The Devil and Dayna Dalton

The Devil and Dayna Dalton
by
Award Winning Author
Brit Lunden

"Whatever you do,don't go by Old Jericho. That old puddle just keeps getting bigger and bigger....." (Lunden,2019)

It all starts with an ominous warning, yet from Dayna's perspective, it is simply a dare from a harmless old woman, an antagonistic old lady who lives across the street....

Brit Lunden Novella features well developed characters facing the unimaginable and unthinkable circumstances, as well as unexpected plot twists.  This author has the gift of making the surreal, supernatural reality become real.  She has the ability to transport the reader into an alternate existence.  What starts out as a simple plot becomes more and more complex as the story line progresses. Brit Lunden's character development with its mix of spirituality and mythology is  reminiscent of the complex worlds and and character plots created by the well known author Ann Rice.

Lunden's gift with words creates an atmosphere looming with foreboding dread as the reader anticipates what looms ahead.  Her ability to describe dreamlike scenes will transport the reader from the comforts of their bed into the unsafe, unpredictable, harsh, vivid reality of Bulwark. After completing the last paragraph of  Lunden's The Devil and Dayna Dalton , the reader  will have to take a few minutes to pause, and ground themselves in reality once again by taking  a step outside to see the daylight and get a breath of fresh air to re orientate himself or herself.  Lunden's work's  might even be authentic enough to have the reader questioning their own reality long after the book has been read.  This novella is not simply a short story, but also an experience. As a blogger I received a copy of this book from the publisher.  The opinions expressed are my own.

This book is available on Amazon and online at Barnes and Noble.
